Police arrested actor Bryshere Gray. The star from the US series “Empire” is accused of attacking his wife and refusing to speak to the police for hours.

As the Goodyear Police Department reports, the emergency call came in around 10:15 p.m. on Sunday evening. In it, a woman claimed to have been attacked by her husband, actor Bryshere Gray.

Bryshere Gray didn’t want to speak to the police

When the officers arrived at the actor’s house in Goodyear, Arizona, the 26-year-old is said to have refused to come out and speak to the officers. The emergency services requested a Swat and a crisis negotiation team.

It was not until shortly after seven in the morning that the police managed to arrest the actor without resistance. He was taken away and sent to the Maricopa District Prison for domestic violence.

According to the report, the wife was initially treated in a hospital, but was later able to leave.

Gray, who played the role of Hakeem Lyon in “Empire”, is also known as a rapper under the name “Yazz the Greatest”.

“Empire” series canceled due to Jussie Smollett’s case

The winning streak was discontinued after six seasons after Gray’s series colleague, actor Jussie Smollett, claimed last year that he had been the victim of a racially and politically motivated assault. The Chicago authorities later accused Smollett of improper conduct for allegedly making up the story and submitting a false police report.

Smollett was again charged with multiple public order violations in February. He is said to have given false information to the police. These charges were also dropped later. Smollett has denied the allegations and has filed a counterclaim for malicious law enforcement.
